Want to know a bit more about us before coming along? Of course, we've supplied some information below about what we do and how we do it.
However, please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
Strange thing to have first up isn't it! We think it's really important to outline our position.
The Futsal Development Centre is exactly that, a Development Centre. Our aim is to make all players that come along better, whilst having lots of fun. If you watch our sessions you will see lots of time on the ball, technical ability being improved, players being challenged but all under the concept of "Fun" and "Game-Time".
We don't promise to play against professional academies, we won't promise scouts along to watch games, we won't compromise on equal game-time for all.
What we do is give players responsibility, allow to them to make mistakes and learn from them, allow them to grow in an environment where they will be tested, but not judged.
This makes us different from many other Football/Futsal Clubs/Academies. It's different but it works! Come along and see for yourself.
We don't work with coaches unless they agree with our philosophy. We want our coaches to challenge players but in a respectful, appropriate way and to give players ownership. You will not hear shouting from the side-lines here!
All our coaches are DBS checked and have appropriate Safeguarding and First Aid Qualifications. Many have specialist Futsal qualifications and they come from all walks of society.
The picture on the left is Head Coach Stuart Lee during his UEFA B Futsal course which is the highest possible Futsal qualification in England.
The pictures show Coach Ben Callow who chatted Futsal with England Manager Gareth Southgate whilst attending a Futsal course at St Georges Park and Head Coach Stuart Lee taking the time to learn from Marquinhos Xavier - Brazil Futsal Head Coach during Brazil’s training camp before they face Spain.
We should also be honest, we work with a lot of Grassroots clubs and do lots of work with Hampshire FA and the Football Association in general.
We've worked alongside County FA's to start new Futsal Leagues, we were selected by The FA to appear in a national advertisement campaign to promote Futsal through their partner Pokémon. This included working with national team players.
We work very closely with many grassroots community clubs, our pathway encourages playing football for our partners which includes our men's pathway which leads into Farnborough Football Club.
We do have close links with local professional football clubs, and have a fantastic reputation nationally within the Futsal community.
There are no trials and we welcome players of all abilities. If there is space you can join. If you're not sure come along for a FREE taster session first!
All funds generated goes back into the club.
Futsal is different but incredibly popular around the world. As with all things new it can sometimes be met with suspicion. We assure you if you come along you will enjoy it!
